Thanks for joining us on our Viking Sky World Cruise!
Days 7 to 14!!
After sailing through the Panama Canal, on Christmas Day, we headed north up the coast of Central America, after a full sea day, we made a stop in Puntarenas, Costa Rica a post city on the western shore.
The Puntarenas excursion for us was a visit to the Natuwa Wildlife Sanctuary which is a private sanctuary treating and healing while displaying many of Costa Rica’s wildlife.
Before we departed Puntarenas, we had a bridge tour seeing first hand how the captain and crew sail the ship in the ocean and get to ports of call. Very interesting to see thuebridge with all the controls and computers.
Then when we left Costa Rica, we prepared ourselves for 4 straight sea days as we continued up the coast to our next scheduled stop in Cabo San Lucas on the tip of the Baja peninsula in Mexico.
During the sea days, we filled our days with relaxation, sleep late, ate good food, listened to lectures, attended shows and brought in the new year with a magician, and xylosyph musician, dancing, a few trips to the spa, working out in the gym, and had a great message on New Years day.
We get to Los Angeles on January 5th where we expect a major change in passengers as the majority on board about 500 or so disembark and the ship will fill with world cruisers going to London (with us) or to New York.
