World Cruise – let’s call it Week 3

Thanks for joining us on our Viking Sky World Cruise!

We are learning so much about world cruise traveling –

  • Sea days are time to catch up on naps as the gentle rolling of the ship lulls you to sleep
  • Cruises are notorious for catching a cough or cold – which we caught like everyone else
  • You squeeze in as much as you can on port days
  • Shore excursions offer time to see some sites but certainly not all a port city offers
  • 5 continuous days at sea is challenging but you can get into a rhythm of activities and routines

Since my last post, after the Panama Canal and two sea days, we stopped in Cabo san Lucas, had two sea days to Los Angeles followed by a trek across the Pacific towards Hawaii.

In Los Angeles, we went to Beverly Hills (2 days before devastating wildfires hit the area) and quick trip to Long Beach to check that out before sailing away.

Traveling to Hawaii we had 5 sea days filled with lectures, trivia (our team won one of the days!), great food, spa days and good conversations with experience Viking travelers.

Seas to Hawaii has been labled “rough” with 10 foot to 12 foot seas, but the Viking sky handled them well so far.
